Technical glitch encountered during panel proposal submission

posted May 27, 2012, 2:23 PM by ANHS WEB

The panel proposal submission process for the Second ANHS Himalayan Studies Conference to be held at Western Michigan University, September 21-23, 2012, encountered a slight technical glitch. We want to assure you that there was, however, no problem with the individual proposal submission process - those are all fine.

If you submitted a panel proposal but did not receive a "Thank you…" note after your submission, your panel may not have been received. Please find below the list of panel proposals received to see if your panel proposal submission was received by ANHS.

If your panel does not appear on the list below, please re-submit your panel proposal containing the panel abstract, an abstract for each paper, and the name, email address, and affiliation of each presenter and of the panel organizer/s to Mahendra Lawoti (conference@anhs-himalaya.org) by June 1, 2012. This extension is for panel proposal submission only.

The following panel proposals were received:

  • Dealing with Being Dalit
  • Multicultural Challenges in Nepal
  • On the Move: Migration, Socioeconomic Mobility, and Culture Change in the Himalayan Region
  • Panels in Honor of Davild Holmberg and Kathryn March (3 panels)
  • People and Environment in the Greater Himalaya (2 panels)
  • Space, Place and Presence: Recent Scholarship in Himalayan Visual Culture
  • Sustainable / Sustaining Health and Health Care in Nepal (2 panels)
